Quicklooks
Preliminary LVIS quality quicklooks organized by day of sortie. Overflights of sites in the same geographic region may appear in one or more sortie. These files are very large and may give Google Earth indigestion. At the end of the campaign these files will be reorganized regionally.
Color key: Red = zero, Pink = 1 to 10%, Orange >10 to 20%, Yellow >20 to 50%, Green >50% surface returns. Gray = high energy return but DEM is missing.

Reports
- 16 Aug: Ontario CA – Great Falls MT and BERMS Lines (PPTX)
- 4 Sept: NASA2 flew from Great Falls, MT, to Yellowknife, NWT, taking observations at all planned locations.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1477_v01#summary - 5 Sept: We hosted Allicia Kelley and Logan Rudekvitch from the Gov’t of Northwest Territories for the Yellowknife Regional sortie. Field teams took ground observations at Scotty Creek, Hay River, Kakisa Lake, and Ft. Providence.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1464_v01#summary - 11 Sept: Transit to Fairbanks via Scotty Creek (Quinton team on site), Yukon Sites, and Delta Junction, plus bonus line 03603 near Fairbanks. All lines were flown manually by the pilots, without the precision navigation system, so data will likely not be useable for repeat-pass InSAR. The fault with the precision navigation system was remedied after landing in Fairbanks and did not affect subsequent flights.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1450_v01#summary - 12 Sept: Seward Peninsula (Iwahana on site) plus bonus lines 03603 and 03604 near Fairbanks (Chapman & Wetlands WG on site). Collected all 9 planned lines (dropped line 8 before flight). Both the radar and precision autopilot performed well.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1478_v01#summary - 13 Sept: North Slope – Flight included collection over 9 North Slope lines, plus bonus lines 03603 and 03604 near Fairbanks (total of 11 lines collected). Both the radar and precision autopilot performed well.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1479_v01#summary - 14 Sept: Fairbanks Area Flight – Flight included Denali sites (Schuur/Rodenhizer team on site), Delta Junction, Bonanza Creek (Chapman team on site), and the Yukon Flats. Collected all 9 planned lines. Both the radar and PPA performed well.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1452_v01#summary - 16 Sept: Mackenzie Valley sortie – All lines were collected, including both “bonus lines” near Fairbanks.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1481_v01#summary - 17 Sept: Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta: Collected 9 priority lines; recorded about 70% of line 7 due to a radar issue. The two “bonus lines” near Fairbanks were not collected.
Flight Plan: https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/report.pl?planID=PLAN_1480_v01#summary - 18 Sept: NASA2 successfully completed all flights for ABoVE and returned to CONUS.
