ASTM8 Plenary Invited Talks
The plenary sessions will feature presentations from Partner Organizations, updates from the Working Group leads, and reports from the ongoing Synthesis Activities.

Timing
  • Invited Talks will have 20 minutes for presentation and Q&A.
  • Working Group leads will have 12 minutes for presentation and Q&A.
  • Partner Organizations will have 15 minutes for presentation and Q&A.
Format
  • Talks will be presented live at the meeting.
  • ASTM8 Powerpoint Template
  • Presentation files should be uploaded to the meeting website no later than May 5, 2022 using the links under My Account.
ASTM8 Research Highlights (short talks and optional posters)
Individual and project research highlights will be presented in short talks (approx. 5 min talk + 2 min Q&A) in hybrid sessions featuring both in-person and virtual presenters. Those who come to Fairbanks may also bring a physical poster under the same abstract to present at in-person poster sessions.

  1. Parallel sessions will be held at 10:30 AM (AKT) on Tuesday 5/10 and 1:30 PM (AKT) on Wednesday 5/11.
  2. Presenters will have 5 minutes, with 2 additional minutes for Q&A.
  3. Talks can be live (pdf or ppt) or pre-recorded (mp4) (ASTM8 Powerpoint Template)
  4. If using PowerPoint, please do not use multiple builds in your slides.
  5. Research highlight talks may be pre-recorded or presented live. If presented live, slide sharing is left to the discretion of each parallel session moderator. The moderator may choose to share and advance the slides for you, or let you share and advance them yourself.
  6. Presentation files should be uploaded to the meeting website no later than May 5, 2022 using the links under My Account.
  7. Presenting during the research highlight session is not required but is strongly encouraged, both for increasing the amount of feedback and interaction you will get on your presentation and enhancing the experience of remote participants who cannot attend the live poster sessions. If you still want to present a poster only please let Support know.
In Person Poster Session:
  1. You can hang up your poster Monday morning.
  2. Posters will be up the entirety of the meeting.
  3. Poster size is restricted to 48 by 48 inches.
  4. Display boards and push pins will be provided.
  5. Upload your poster PDF to the meeting agenda using the 'upload poster' link on your My Account page.

R2O Research Highlights (posters)
The R2O Workshop will be hosting an in-person research highlights poster session during lunch on Friday, May 13.

Poster Abstract Submission is closed:
If you missed the online abstract submission and would like to present a poster at the R2O workshop, just bring your poster to the workshop and let Meeting Support know so they can reserve a spot for you.
