ABoVE Science Cloud Hands-on Workshop Using GIS tools, data, and services on the ABoVE Science Cloud (ASC) has some unique challenges and rewards. This presentation will de-mystify the process by addressing multiple aspects of the ASC, to include: 1) accessing and logging into the environment; 2) locating and utilizing data resources and services; 3) developing custom geoprocessing scripts; 4) publishing map and image services; 5) creating applications; and 6) managing security to ensure appropriate levels of access. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of known technical challenges and methods for overcoming those limitations.
